At Visage Laser and Skin Care Center, we provide laser skin treatments for those living in Anaheim, CA and the surrounding 92807 area. To schedule an appointment and to have your skin rejuvenated, contact us today. During your consultation, we will discuss your goals and the issues that concern you about the appearance of your skin. Laser skin treatments can be used to correct a variety of challenges including:
- Scars from severe acne
- Unsightly birthmarks
- Large pores
- Sun or liver spots
- Complexion concerns
Due to the variety of issues that laser skin treatments address, it is wise to seek professional guidance as to how these treatments can be used to improve the appearance of your skin and whether laser skin treatments should be combined with other cosmetic procedures.
In our Anaheim skin care center, we regularly treat clients that want to have one or two blemishes corrected along with others that have wrinkles or sun spots that they want removed from multiple areas of the face. Laser skin treatments can address both; naturally, the larger area you have worked on, the longer the procedure will take; though two hours is typically the maximum.
Can everyone get laser skin treatments?
Most people qualify for laser skin treatments but at Visage Laser and Skin Care Center, we will let you know if this treatment is ideal for you, after examining your skin. In some cases, other solutions are preferable. For example, laser skin treatments are not the right place to start if you have current acne breakouts or have very dark skin as it can create further your challenges. Simultaneously, the depth of your wrinkles will determine if this will be an effective solution.
How does it work?
When you schedule a laser skin therapy, we will be using a laser light to remove the epidermis (surface layer of the skin) where there is an issue such as a wrinkle or scar. Underneath will be a new layer of skin, and the laser will help the skin to create more collagen that will be firmer and smoother. It can take up to a year for your skin to continue to rejuvenate, so the results are ongoing, albeit impressive once done. Since the surface layer of your skin is being removed, you can expect some sensitivity and most people report that it feels like a sunburn. We recommend taking a few days off of work and continuing to wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun for the next year.
