Fractora™ isn’t just another skin resurfacing laser treatment device. It’s actually the most advanced fractional radio-frequency treatment available for the reduction of unwanted signs of aging. This is because Fractora™ can make possible today what was once only possible with invasive surgery or multiple radio-frequency skin treatment devices.
How Does Fractora™ Work?
Fractional laser therapy therapy is a non-invasive option for reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and many kinds of skin blemishes. This is accomplished by sending waves of radio-frequency (RF) energy into the skin.
The Fractora™ hand-held device has a collection of tiny pins on the front panel that is placed on the patient’s skin. It’s through these pins that the RF energy is channeled into the skin. The RF energy gently warms the layers of the skin underneath the dermis.
When the layers of skin underneath the epidermis are heated this way, the brain detects this as a minor skin injury and initiates the healing process. It’s this process that forces the body to produce more collagen and elastin, the key proteins directly associated with smooth, supple and youthful skin.
This increase in collagen and elastin production becomes very visible on the outer layers of skin after some time because healing has occurred from within the deepest layers of the skin.
What Can Fractora™ Treat?
The skin treatment options that are possible with Fractora™ are very broad. Just about any skin condition associated with the aging process and skin injury can be improved. These include deep lines, texture issues, pigment abnormalities, scars, acne scars, varicose veins and uneven skin tone.
The most common areas of the body that are treated are the cheeks, neck, upper and lower lips, upper eyelids, lower eyelids and the corners of the mouth. Other parts of the body such as the upper arms, abdomen and some areas of the legs can be treated.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Most treatments will take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete depending on which area is being treated. It will take more than one treatment to improve most skin conditions we treat with Fractora™.
